The HS model provides disease-relevant human skin tissue for studying hidradenitis suppurativa biology and evaluating therapeutic responses directly in HS tissue. It can be used for treatment experiments, target and pathway studies, biomarker analysis and tissue-based assays to investigate mechanisms of inflammation and treatment response.

Ideal for: preclinical therapeutic testing, treatment response studies, mechanism-of-action research and biomarker investigations in HS.

HS models may exhibit natural variation in tissue morphology, which is expected and does not affect their use in research applications.

Important information, please read carefully

Max number of models per order: The number of models available from each surgical specimen varies depending on the size of the tissue sample received. On average, about 6 to 10 models can be generated from each surgical specimen.
Please note that modifications to orders can only be accepted within 48 hours of placement and will incur a 10% fee.
Depending on surgery schedules and sample quality, productions may be rescheduled.

Please note that our skin models are prepared with skin samples obtained with the informed consent of donors and in compliance with the Declaration of Helsinki and all other applicable regulations.

Every kit contains:

The ordered amount of models, which are placed in individual inserts in a 12-well plate. The plate is then loaded into a transport plate covered by a lid. Every skin biopsy is firmly maintained in our proprietary matrix within the insert.
The required volume of culture medium to maintain the biopsies alive (storage 4^◦C).
A QA/QC lot release certificate with donor information (age, gender, skin type, anatomical site).

Maximum number of models per order:

With a skin sample from one donor, we are able to produce approximately 10 HS skin models with 11 mm diameter.

Donor Restrictions:

HS tissue availability is limited and depends on the surgical specimens received. As a result, donor-specific requests or customization of donor characteristics cannot be accommodated in most cases.

Multiple Donors:

Due to the limited and variable availability of HS surgical specimens, we cannot guarantee that models from multiple donors will be available within a single order. Requests for multiple donors will be accommodated whenever tissue availability permits.

As we cannot guarantee a multiple donor delivery on the same day, handling and shipping fees apply per donor.

Delivery:

HS skin models are supplied as ready-to-use kits. They are packed in a specially designed box that can be shipped by express airfreight. The box is thermally insulated and shock-resistant.The Genoskin production team works hard to respect your preferred week selection. However, productions may be rescheduled to a later week depending on surgery schedules and sample quality.
Note that your HS skin models may arrive at your facility from Monday to Friday for laboratories in Europe.

The expected delivery day will be communicated to your team at least 48 hours in advance.

Cancellation Policy:

Modifications to orders can only be accepted within 48 hours of placement and will incur a 10% fee.

HS skin model orders are not eligible for cancellation. Please note that if you are not able to receive the skin models as scheduled, you will still be invoiced.
