Cell Information:

Connective tissue-type mast cells (CTMCs) are derived from CD34⁺ progenitors isolated from human peripheral blood and differentiated over 6–8 weeks in a defined combination of cytokines and growth factors. Quality control (QC) includes characterization of mast cells using flow cytometry to assess expression of CD117 and  FcεRI. Additionally, degranulation assays are conducted to evaluate the functional response of the cells by stimulating them with anti-IgE, triggering the release of intracellular granules. Degranulation is measured using a  ß-hexosaminidase assay or CD63 expression via flow cytometry.

Delivery:

Shipping Format: Room temperature

Receipt Instructions: Upon receipt, cells should be centrifuged and transferred to culture using the Complete Culture Medium that is provided with the shipment of the cells. The cells should be cultured for 5-7 days prior to using for testing and used within 2 weeks of receipt.
